One of the ways we’re getting the word out about the campaign’s Listening Tour is through phone banks. We create lists of people we think might be interested in attending, and call them and make sure they know about the event.
There are a lot of people in our district, and so there are a lot of phone calls to make. If you’re looking for a fun, easy way to help the campaign, this is the way to go. We give you a script with some basic information to share with voters, and a list of voters to call. There are two basic kinds of phone banks, with the only difference being location:
- Virtual, where you access the script and call list via the Web, and can make your calls from anywhere
- In-person, where we sit down and make calls together, side-by-side.
Making these calls is fun; usually, people are pleased to hear that there is a candidate who is willing to travel and listen to them. Here’s a sample call, just to show how easy it can be:
You can watch for announcements about in-person phone banks on our Facebook page.
If you’d like to sign up to volunteer for our virtual phone banks (which will be conducted in conjunction with each listening tour stop, i.e., for each county), please sign up using the form below, and we will be in touch!
