Lemont, Pa, April 24 — Marc Friedenberg, candidate for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 12th district, is proud to announce the endorsement of Senator Robert P. Casey. Senator Casey is the first Pennsylvania Democrat to ever serve three terms in the U.S. Senate.
“I am honored to receive Senator Casey’s endorsement and support,“ said Marc Friedenberg. “Senator Casey’s endorsement is a recognition that we are fighting for the critical issues that matter to the residents of the 12th District. Our vision for the district puts families first, creates opportunities for our children, and protects our essential safety net services like Social Security.”
The Special Congressional election will take place on May 21st. Independents may vote in the election even though they can not participate in the primary.
“Marc Friedenberg is a committed fighter who will never stop working for the people of Pennsylvania,” said Senator Casey. “He put his values front and center when he took on the predatory Wall Street banks during the recession and I know he will bring that same tenacity to Congress. Marc will fight to see that our families have good paying jobs, access to affordable healthcare, that our children receive a quality education, and that Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are protected.
“Pennsylvanians must work together to send thoughtful, talented representatives to Washington. Marc has a clear understanding of the challenges we face, and the creative solutions we need. I am proud to endorse Marc Friedenberg for Congress.”
