Serving in Congress involves more than just voting on bills and appearing at events. It’s an opportunity—an obligation, really—to show moral leadership.

Roy Moore, the Republican candidate in next Tuesday’s Senate election in Alabama, is a sexual predator and an immoral man. I’m horrified that he is one step away from serving in the U.S. Senate.

I hope that Rep. Glenn Thompson finds the courage to use his position to denounce Roy Moore and show the moral leadership that is currently lacking in Congress.
